The owner of a Lake County animal shelter where authorities discovered dozens of dead dogs and other animals last year was sentenced today to 30 months in prison on animal cruelty charges. Diane Eldrup, 48, will serve the time in a periodic incarceration facility in Lake County, according to county prosecutors. - Donation doubles size of Lake Barrington savanna
Citizens for Conservation’s Flint Creek Savanna South property in Lake Barrington is more than doubling in size thanks to a recent donation by a local bank.
